An investment loan is the type of loan that is used by debtors/investors to obtain financial assistance for the purpose of purchasing a real estate property. The real estate property that is purchased by the debtors/investors will be used as a means of generating funds. The different types of investment loans are standard variable rate investment loan, fixed rate investment loans, interest only investment loans, and equity investment loans.

Standard Variable Rate Investment Loan

A standard variable rate investment loan is the type of investment loan that features an adjustable interest rate. The amount of repayments made by the debtor in a standard variable rate investment loan varies according to the interest rate. The interest rate falls when the economy is doing well and it rises when the economy is doing poorly.

Fixed Rate Investment Loans

The opposite of the standard variable rate investment loan is the fixed rate investment loan. Unlike in the standard variable rate investment loan, the repayments in a fixed rate investment loan are not dependent on the status of the economy. The amount of repayments in a fixed rate investment loans remains the same every single month.

Interest Only Investment Loans

An interest only investment loan, as its name implies, involves monthly repayments that covers only the interest. In this type of investment loan, the principal amount borrowed has to be fully repaid by the debtor at the end of the specified loan term.

Equity Investment Loan

The type of investment loans that involves the use of a home equity is called an equity investment loan. In this type of investment loan, the debtor is given a line of credit on the mortgage. This type of investment loans, which is considered to be one of the most flexible investment loans, allows the debtors/investors to request for a payment term adjustment.
