Q I am looking to cash in my managed fund that I have had for more than two years to invest in an investment property, and according to the ATO I will only have to pay CGT on 50 per cent of the gain due to the length of the investment exceeding 12 months. If I am reinvesting the total amount from the fund into an investment property within the same tax year, am I exempt from any CGT?.. read full story
