An investment loan is when you borrow money from a financial institution to try and increase your wealth for your retirement years.

Many Australian's take out an investment loan to purchase a property or shares on the stock market in an attempt to increase their wealth.

A loan to make simple home improvements is another way that Australian's are adding value to their net worth.

If you plan to take out an investment loan then you really should make an appointment to consult with a financial advisor so that you fully understand the pros and cons of borrowing money to invest.

While borrowing money to create wealth sounds great, but it can also magnify your losses should an investment turn sour.
